Airway Heights police find 8 possible explosives in apartment search

AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – One person has been arrested after police say they discovered 8 possible explosive devices at an Airway Heights apartment complex on Thursday.

Airway Heights Police and the Steven’s County Sheriff’s office said they were serving an identity theft search warrant at the apartment on Thursday afternoon when they

Police quickly evacuated the apartment building and placed surrounding residents on a shelter in place.

Law enforcement contacted The Explosive Disposal Unit from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, and they responded to assist.

While investigating police gained access to the suspects’ car and apartment to remove any possible explosives.

The EDU unit then found an additional 7 possible explosive devices inside the suspects’ car that were carefully removed and secured for evidence.

Angela L. Andreas-Miller, 54, was arrested and booked in Spokane County Jail on eight counts of possession of incendiary devices.

The incident remains under investigation by the Airway Heights detectives with regional partners.
