AIRWAY HEIGHTS, Wash. – An Airway Heights woman is accused of falsely identifying an attacker after a domestic violence call.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the domestic violence call on Sept. 30 and transported the 34-year-old victim to the hospital.
The woman claimed that a man she knew had assaulted her after deputies failed to find anyone else at the place where the purported violence took place.
The sheriff’s department claims that the woman falsely implicated a male she knew in her assault, which could have led to serious charges being leveled against him.
The woman was booked into Spokane County Jail for lying to sheriff’s deputies. An investigation into the assault is ongoing.
