All lanes of westbound I-90 open after 3-car crash, injuries unknown

SPOKANE, Wash. – All lanes on westbound I-90 are open following a 3-car crash on Tuesday night.

The crash happened near the Barker Road exit and blocked all lanes briefly. The crash is now clear, and traffic is moving normally.

A second crash near the Appleway exit closed all westbound lanes again; one remains blocked and is expected to reopen shortly.

One lane of westbound I-90 is open following a crash Tuesday night.

Washington State Patrol confirmed three cars were involved in the crash and at least one vehicle needed an extrication. It is unknown how many people are injured in this crash.

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), many travelers are attempting to turn around and cross over to eastbound lanes. This includes going the wrong direction on I-90. WSDOT heavily advises that you do not do this as you are putting yourself and others in danger.

A second crash just east of where the first one was reported and is also blocking westbound lanes. You should expect delays in the area.

The cause of both crashes remain under investigation.
