SPOKANE, Wash – The Spokane Shakespeare Society will perform “As You Like It” at several parks across the city this summer.
Performances will take place at the Riverfront Park Lilac Bowl, Manito Park’s Duncan Gardens and Corbin Park. The show will run from July 18 to Aug. 4.
Another play is currently awaiting rights confirmation, and the Shakespeare Society says it will have connections to the Bard.
Those looking for even more Will will be pleased to know that a 30 minute production of Henry V is planned for the Spokane Renaissance Faire this year.
Artistic director Jeffrey Ridlington is looking forward to celebrating Shakespeare and the city of Spokane during this season, which coincides with the and Shakespeare’s 460th birthday.
“With Expo’s anniversary, we wanted our season to be Spokane-centered as well, and I am so excited about it,” Ridlington said.
