ASOTIN COUNTY, Wash. – Asotin County residents have an opportunity to provide input on wildfire protocols this Wednesday. Asotin County Fire District One is proposing changes to the Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
The plan emphasizes local resources and knowledge for wildfire mitigation. However, it has not been updated since 2008, according to Asotin County.
The meeting will take place at the Asotin County Fire District One station, located at 2377 Appleside Boulevard. It is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
Fire officials have expressed the importance of community involvement in this process. They stated on Facebook that community input is needed.
