UNITED STATES – Ford, Toyota, and General Motors are each donating $1 million to President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration. In addition to the monetary contributions, Ford and General Motors are providing a fleet of cars for the event.
The donations come as Trump’s proposed policies may significantly impact these companies. One policy under scrutiny is the $7,500 electric vehicle tax credit, which encourages buyers to purchase electric cars. This credit could potentially be eliminated with the new administration.
Ford, in particular, has faced challenges in making a profit from its electric vehicles.
