SPOKANE, Wash. — Avista will begin lowering the Nine Mile Reservoir by 12 feet starting this October.
According to a press release from Avista, the drawdown will commence on Oct. 6 and last for one week. This process will enable Avista crews to conduct maintenance and repair activities on the Nine Mile Dam.
The company estimates that it will take approximately two days to complete the drawdown, aiming to minimize erosion and other impacts on aquatic resources. Avista also noted that the drawdown of the Nine Mile Reservoir will not affect the water level in Lake Spokane.
