CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Former U.S. Sen. Kelly Ayotte has won the GOP nomination for New Hampshire governor. The race largely was between Ayotte and former state Senate President Chuck Morse in Tuesday’s Republican primary. Current Gov. Republican Chris Sununu is not seeking reelection after four terms. Ayotte was New Hampshire’s first female attorney general. She would become the state’s third woman to be elected governor if she wins in November. Also Tuesday, U.S. Rep. Chris Pappas and former White House aide Maggie Goodlander won their Democratic U.S. House primaries in their congressional races.
