COLBERT, Wash. – A bear broke into a truck in Colbert near a middle school early Sunday morning.
According to the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife, the bear was likely smelling their way toward something.
To avoid bear break-ins, residents of areas near forests should ensure that trash-cans are bear proof and do not create smells that could attract a large canine.
