MEDICAL LAKE, Wash. – A total of four beehives were left behind on State Route 902 west of I-90 Thursday morning, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
After discovering the spilled beehives, WSDOT maintenance crews were able to safely move them off of the road.
All of the bees were rescued with the assistance of Medical Lake’s West Plains Beekeepers.
Whoever was transporting the beehives remains unknown.
