CALIFORNIA. – Jeffrey Foskett, a longtime member of the Beach Boys, died on Dec. 11 at the age of 67.
According to NBC News Foskett, who joined the band in 1981, had been diagnosed with Stage 4 anaplastic thyroid cancer in 2019.
Foskett was affectionately known as the “vice principal of the Beach Boys” for his ability to get along with all the members of the band.
“I’m so heartbroken that my dear friend Jeff Foskett has passed,” said Brian Wilson, a member of the Beach Boys in a social media post. “Jeff was always there for me when we toured and we couldn’t have done it without him.”
