KENNEWICK, Wash. – As the winter months approach, the Benton-Franklin Health District is providing guidance for those experiencing Seasonal Affective Disorder.

SAD symptoms can include fatigue, changes in sleep or appetite, irritability, and difficulty concentrating due to reduced sunlight during fall and winter.

The health district suggests several strategies to help manage these symptoms. Staying active with regular exercise, seeking more natural light when possible, maintaining a healthy diet, and staying socially connected are recommended.
