SPOKANE, Wash. – The small crew at Birdie’s Pie Shop has been hard at work in Downtown Spokane as they help residents provide the most important part of their Thanksgiving meal. Dessert.
A long-line of hungry people could be seen outside there Downtown Spokane shop on Tuesday as people hope to get their hands on a popular Birdie’s Thanksgiving pie.
The shop took to social media to say they nearly sold out of pies on Tuesday and are prepared for another busy day.
“We do have a TON of pie. These beautiful souls worked like crazy last night and this a.m. So come in whenever you can. We’ll have something delicious, no question,” the pie shop said on social media.
One customer eagerly waiting in line for her Thanksgiving dessert noted how well-known the pie shop has become in the community.
“They have a lot of recognition, and their pies are just different. They just make you feel like they are grandma’s pie,” said Mary Silkworth.
Birdies is selling 14 different variations of Thanksgiving pies like pumpkin cream, apple, pecan and even a chicken pot pie.
Wednesday is the last day to pick up pies before the shop closes until Dec. 5. You can find more information and all the great flavors of pie on the website.
