Boeing strike continues for third day in Moses Lake

MOSES LAKE, Wash. — Boeing workers in Moses Lake are on strike and say there will be more action on the picket lines on Monday.

Several machinists stood outside the company’s facility on September 15, holding up signs in protest. Sunday was the third day of the strike. On Thursday, 96% of the 33,000 machinists voted to authorize the strike.

The strike came after Boeing offered a 25% pay raise over four years. However, the union has asked for a 40% pay raise over three years. Boeing workers also want the traditional pension plan back. This is the company’s first strike in 16 years.
