BOISE, Idaho – An Idaho man was sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually battering a minor, child enticement and medically endangering his victims.

Alexander Louie, 34, was found guilty on a felony charge of transferring body fluids containing the HIV virus according to the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office.

Louie admitted to lying about his HIV status and had sexual intercourse with around 30-50 different men and boys including minors.

The investigation began in August of 2023 after an undercover Ada County Sheriff’s Detective pretending to be a 15-year-old boy online was in contact with Louie and had agreed to meet for sex.

Louie was arrested and law enforcement continued the investigation finding that he was not taking his medication and purposely having sexual contact with both men and teenage boys in hopes to transfer HIV to them.

During his sentencing, Ada County Judge O’Neill argued that Louie’s conduct was dangerous.

“Your conduct would be the Webster’s definition of a predator,” O’Neill said.
