SPOKANE, Wash. – Boo Radley’s, the novelty shop in downtown Spokane, is back open after being impacted by a fire earlier this week.

The fire started in a kitchen on Wednesday night, leading to water damage from firefighting efforts. The shop was one of several ground-level businesses affected.

Assistant Manager Wyatt Watkins expressed gratitude for the support from neighboring businesses. “Thankfully we had so much support – from Atticus and Petunia and Loomis and O’Doherty’s this whole block came together to get everyone back on their feet which was awesome and that’s really how we did it – it was just the support – it takes a village and we had one,” Watkins said.

Boo Radley’s is still assessing the damage, with losses mostly in plush and paper items. However, much of their inventory was spared.

Nearby businesses, Petunia and Loomis, have also reopened, while O’Doherty’s remains closed.
