KELLER, Wash. – The Bridge Creek Fire burning near Keller has grown from about 1,000 acres on Saturday to 2,400 acres Tuesday.
According to the Colville Tribes Environmental Trust Program, nearly 70 emergency responders are working on the fire.
“Fire managers expect limited fire growth on this fire Tuesday, which will give firefighters the opportunity to shore up dozer and control lines around it in preparation for the dry cold front and winds arriving on Wednesday,” the trust program said.
Several homes are still endangered by the fire, and the following roads have been closed:
