WHITMAN COUNTY, Wash. – A small brush fire burned in Whitman County Thursday afternoon.
According to the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was sparked by a firework in a field. The fire spread from the field to a nearby building which was also engulfed.
The sheriff’s office says that fire crews began to mop up the fire around 4:30 p.m.
