Buy a book for a buck at the Spokane Public Library

SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Public Library will hold their spring friends of the library book sale from April 25-27 at the Shadle Park location.

Books donated from the community will be available for purchase for as low as $1. Friends of the Library members only can attend the event’s presale from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25.

Anyone is welcome to attend on the remaining two days of the sale, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 26 and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 27.

Individuals have the opportunity to purchase an entire bag full of books for $3 and a box full for $6 on Saturday and are encouraged to bring their own bags.

The Friends of the Spokane Public Library is a yearlong membership supporting the library’s programs and services. Members also gain early access to their semi-annual book sales in the spring and fall. The membership costs $10 for individuals and $15 for families.

All proceeds from the upcoming sale go towards the Friends of the Spokane Public Library.

Donations for used books, CDs and DVDs in good condition are also being accepted at each of the Spokane Public Library’s locations except for The Hive.
