POST FALLS, Idaho — The Post Falls Police Department is warning locals to be wary of scam calls pretending to be a Post Falls police officer.
According to a Facebook post from the Post Falls Police Department (PFPD), a scammer is using PFPD’s phone number to demand money from victims. The scammer has pretended to be an officer calling about outstanding warrants and demanding the person pay through gift cards or crypto currency.
If you receive a call like this, do not send money. Law enforcement agencies will never solicit money over the phone for outstand arrest warrants.
