COVID-19 cases are capping out capacity in Kootenai County hospitals causing them to delay elective surgeries. This scenario is also causing them to redirect all their resources to COVID patient care.
Patients are being delivered to Spokane hospitals but even that is not satisfying the need for beds. Health officials are pleading with the community to recognize the CDC guidelines on washing hands, mask wearing and social distancing.
