SPOKANE, Wash. – A car accident killed two Lewis and Clark High School students over the weekend.
Lewis and Clark High School Principal, Ivan Corley, sent a message to students and families of the school offering resources for support after two students were killed, and one was hospitalized.
One of the students killed in the crash had recently graduated, and the other was entering their senior year, according to Corley.
The student who was hospitalized recently graduated.
Support for students, families and staff will be available at the high school auditorium during the following times:
Tuesday, July 16 – 8:00 a.m. to 3:00p.m. – (Small group support at 1:00)Wednesday, July 17 – 8:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. – (Small group support at 10:00 & 1:00)
“Please observe your child closely over the next several days and weeks to watch for signs of distress, which may indicate a need for discussion and guidance,” Corley said. “By offering your student emotional support and giving them an opportunity to talk, you will be able to help your child navigate through these complicated emotions.”
