Car crash on State Route 97 near Entiat leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

ENTIAT, Wash. – ENTIAT, Wash. – A 20-year-old man is dead and two others are injured after a car crash on State Route 97 in Douglas County.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the 20-year-old’s car was traveling southbound on SR 97, while another car, carrying a driver and passenger from Spokane, was traveling north. The southbound car crossed the center line and crashed with the northbound vehicle. The 20-year-old’s car caught fire, and both vehicles partially blocked the northbound lane.

WSP reported that the 20-year-old, identified as Hayden Fisher, died at the scene, while the occupants of the other car were transported to the hospital. Their conditions are currently unknown.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
