PALOUSE, Wash. — A water rescue operation was conducted Thursday evening after a car sank near a bridge in Palouse.
According to the Palouse Fire Department, at around 7:15 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, the Palouse Fire and EMS responded to reports of a car sinking under the bridge near the intersection of Bridge Street and Shady Lane.
A Pullman Medic unit was also dispatched to the scene for potential transport to Pullman Regional Hospital (PRH). Upon arrival, responders determined that water rescue support was necessary.
The Pullman Fire Department and Potlatch Fire Department were called in to help. Fire crews said that they rescued the driver and passengers.
