CASCADE COUNTY, Mont. – A Cascade County jury has convicted Douglas Lee Laverdure on several charges related to sex offenses.
The Cascade County Sheriff’s Office re-opened an investigation into Laverdure in September 2022. This investigation originally began in 2007.
While detectives were working on the case, another victim came forward in October 2023, reporting a sexual assault by Laverdure.
Cascade County detectives arrested Laverdure on December 13, 2023.
On October 31, 2024, the jury convicted Laverdure on six felony charges. The charges include sexual intercourse without consent, sexual assault, and incest.
The offenses involved children under the age of 16 at the time they were committed.
The Cascade County Sheriff’s Office thanked its detectives and the Cascade County Attorney’s Office for their efforts in this nearly two-decade-long investigation.
