Chad Daybell sentenced to death in triple murder case

BOISE, Idaho – A few days after the jury found Chad Daybell guilty of murder, he is now sentenced to death.

Daybell was found guilty on all counts on May 30. Charges include three counts for the murders of Joshua Jaxon “JJ” Vallow, Tylee Ryan and his former wife, Tammy Daybell. He was also found guilty of insurance fraud.

Jury deliberations began Wednesday and the guilty verdict was read Thursday afternoon at the Ada County Courthouse in Boise.

Daybell was sentenced to death on June 1.

The court is taking a brief recess and will re-convene to discuss his charges of insurance fraud.

Lori Vallow, mother of JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan, was found guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the 2019 deaths of two of her children.
