CHELAN COUNTY, Wash. – The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office and Chelan County Public Works are asking the public for information on shots fired at several flashing warning signs along Chumstick Highway north of Leavenworth.
Officials say several flashing radar-activated warning signs were damaged by gunfire on the weekend of Jan. 11 and 12, causing $10,000 in damage.
The damage was mainly done near the train trestle near Freund Canyon. Anyone with information is asked to use CCSO’s online tip line.
