Cheney police seek help in finding suspect hit and run

CHENEY, Wash. – Authorities in Cheney are asking for public assistance as they investigate a hit and run incident that occurred on Saturday evening.

The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of First and College Hill Street. A person walking in a crosswalk was hit by a car traveling southbound on First Street, according to the Cheney Police Department.

Witnesses said the car did not slow down and continued to drive south without stopping after the collision. The individual hit by the car was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition, police said.
