SPOKANE, Wash. – Open houses to discuss the design of two dog parks in Spokane will take place in April.

Designers will enhance the High Bridge Park near Latah Creek and create a new dog park on the south hill on property owned by Spokane Public Schools.

The downtown Spokane Library will host an open house to discuss the High Bridge Dog Park on April 11 at 6:15 pm.

South Hill residents are invited to attend the discussion about a new dog park at Peperzak Middle School on April 25 at 6 pm.

The South Hill park is intended to replace an unofficial dog park on the corner of 63rd and Regal.

The High Bridge Park expansion occurs while a plot of land which is used as a dog park by Browne’s Addition residents is up for residential development.

It is possible that both South Hill and Browne’s Addition residents will be able to frequent official dog parks on public property in the next few years.
