Climber airlifted to hospital after falling from cliff near Columbia River

GRANT COUNTY, Wash. – Emergency responders transported a climber to a trauma center after he was found injured under a cliff Monday.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, the climber appeared to have fallen from 50 to 90 feet, and was sent to receive medical attention via helicopter.

He fell off a rock wall on the Columbia River near State Route 243. His current status is unknown, though it appears that he spent over an hour lying injured before he was found.
