COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — The City of Coeur d’Alene has announced that Mayor Jim Hammond will attend his final City Council meeting and host a farewell party on the same day.
The final City Council meeting will be held on Aug. 20. Mayor Hammond’s farewell party will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the same day at the Library Community Room.
Mayor Hammond, who has served the city since his election in 2021, will resign effective Aug. 31. Hammond stated that he is relocating to Colorado to be closer to his youngest son and grandchildren.
