COEUR D’ ALENE, Idaho – The Coeur d’ Alene Police Department arrested and charged two minors for allegedly stealing from cars on Tuesday.

According to the department, the minors were involved in multiple purported vehicle burglaries reported to law enforcement over the weekend. CDA police believe that three people coordinated to break into unlocked cars and steal cash and a handgun.

“With the information provided, detectives were able to identify all three juvenile males. They also executed search warrants for the suspects homes and have recovered some of the stolen property including the handgun,” the department said.

CDA police say additional charges against the two minors could be filed and that the investigation is ongoing. The department did not provide information on the third minor who they suspect was involved in the incidents.
