Coeur d’Alene police monthly report reveals a rise in charges and bookings

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Coeur d’Alene Police Department (CDA PD) has released its Feb. 2024 crime report which shows an increase/decrease in certain crimes, offenders booked and charges made.

The document in the crimes section reveals that there has been a 29% decrease in thefts from last year and a slight 8% increase in drug-related crimes and vandalism.

The last section in arrest statistics for Feb. 2024 reveals that the CDA PD booked 99 offenders which was a slight increase from January’s 96 offenders.

Charges also saw an increase this month with 194 charges being made to booked offenders which is an increase from the 180 charges made last month.

The report also highlighted warrant arrests, with 84 individuals apprehended for various offenses including probation or parole violations, drug-related charges, assault and theft-related crimes.

There were a total of 78 custodial arrests (arrests made directly by law enforcement), while 116 were warrant arrests.
