COEUR D’ ALENE, Idaho—The Coeur d’Alene Resort golf course has just opened again, and the resort’s golf industry provides a huge economic boost to the region.
Visit Idaho says the region generates $1.4 billion in direct travel spending and that 25,00 rounds of golf were played last year. According to the Visit Idaho numbers, golfing from the resort alone brings $11 million in revenue.
The golf course has also made some updates, including golf carts with GPS, an updated number three golf hole and a new patio restaurant.
Hagadone Hospitality is also exploring a potential expansion of the resort. The planned building will feature 139 new hotel rooms and a parking structure with over 80 vehicles.
