Coeur d’Alene seeking new member of Historic Preservation Commission

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The City of Coeur d’Alene is looking for a new member of the municipal Historic Preservation Commission.

Applications for the vacant commission seat will remain open until Nov. 8. The city is seeking a professional with expertise in urban planning, architecture, and history.

Historic preservation has stood at the center of a high-profile north Idaho policy conversation in the past few months.

After the historic Roosevelt Inn City Council on the National Historic Register until Dec. 17.

The new member of the Historic Commission would join the group just as the city government makes more permanent plans for handling historic building codes, and would help advise both the mayor’s office and council on future policies for preserving local landmarks.
