SPOKANE, Wash. – Rightwing pundit and activist Dennis Prager will attend a conservative advocacy organization’s Spokane gala in September.
The (WPC) will host an event at the Davenport Grand Hotel on Sep. 20th for Republican and libertarian supporters.
WPC maintains an active political presence in Olympia and has opposed public healthcare funding and hate crime laws in recent state legislative sessions.
Prager is known as the founder of ‘Prager University,’ an alternative-right platform known for popularizing conservative ideas amongst young people on social media. It is funded by viewer purchases and a small cohort of billionaire donors.
Popular Prager U videos include a 2021 children’s cartoon arguing that abolitionist Frederick Douglas saw slavery as a reasonable compromise to achieve American independence and a 2016 recorded essay arguing that there is a war on Christmas.
Prager is also known for his controversial 2008 opinion piece asserting that spousal rape is morally justified under certain circumstances.
The WPC dinner will also include actor William Baldwin and former Bush Administration official Robert Marbut.
