DAVENPORT, Wash. – The Lincoln County Coroner has identified the two victims of yesterday’s helicopter crash.
Ryan Sandvig, 68, from Spokane, and Mark Manteuffel, 63, from Coeur d’Alene, were confirmed as the two men who tragically lost their lives in the June 19 incident.
According to Lincoln County Fire District 6, the crash occurred north of Bluestem and Linstrum Roads. Fire crews at the scene reported that the privately owned helicopter crashed, leading to a small fire in approximately one to two acres. The fire has since been contained.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will investigate the cause of the crash.
