WORLEY, Idaho – A wildfire started near Worley on Saturday afternoon.
Updated Aug. 31 at 7:33 p.m. – The County Line Fire is now 40% contained as firefighters continue to put out the flames.
According to the Idaho Department of Lands, crews have dug a fire line entirely around the fire, and aircraft are dropping water on hotter portions. On-ground crews are installing hose lays to bring water to the fire edge.
No structures were lost, and County Line Road will remain closed until fire crews have removed hazardous trees.
There are no current evacuation orders.
Updated Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. – All evacuations for the County Line Fire have been rescinded as of 5:45 p.m. by Kootenai County Emergency Management.
According to the US National Weather Service, the fire initially sparked immediate evacuations for the area around Worley Mountain and McCartney Butte at around 1:30 p.m.
Kootenai County Emergency Management issued Go Now and Get Set evacuations for the fire at 1:35 p.m. alongside an evac map, both of which have been pulled back.
The fire expanded to 150 acres Saturday afternoon according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
County Line Road remained closed throughout Saturday night as emergency responders continued to address remaining flames.
