An active police investigation into the Spokane Valley shooting that left one man dead revealed two suspects who were detained and questioned by law enforcement.

The suspect told police that one the men confronting them saying something to the effect of “our boy said you were hitting on his wife.”

An altercation allegedly followed the confrontation when the suspect said that the victim said something like “you wanna fight, I’m down to fight” and then pulled out a silver gun.

The suspect then described the victim ‘racked’ the gun and pointed it at him. He then explained to police he grabbed a pistol in his pocket and shot the victim multiple times.

Court documents describe how the two suspects then left the scene and drove to one of their mother’s houses. The man who had claimed to shoot the person who died said he returned to his mother’s home and changed his scrubs.
