With candidates drawn from across the country, the decision for Spokane’s new Police Chief was close to home. Craig Meidl has been a part of the Spokane Police department for 22 years, starting back in 1994.
He has held multiple ranks in the Spokane Police Department including Captain, Major and Assistant Chief. Meidl also took over when the previous Spokane Chief stepped down.
Meidl has a master’s degree in organization leadership with an emphasis on servant leadership from Gonzaga University. He has also attended the FBI National Academy and Senior Management Institute for Police.
