Crews battle structure fire on Spokane’s South Hill

SPOKANE, Wash. — Fire crews are responding to a second alarm working fire near US Bank on Spokane’s South Hill.

The fire is near the 2800 block of East 29th Avenue, with visible black smoke and heavy flames.

A NonStop Local crew at the scene confirmed that nearby buildings were evacuated and are blocked off. Traffic is also blocked at 29th Avenue and will be redirected to Mt. Vernon. Fire crews are asking you to avoid the area.

It is unclear if anyone is injured at this time.
