KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho — The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred around 6 p.m. on Sunday on Ramsey Road near Brunner Road. Deputies at the scene reported that a passerby discovered the crashed motorcycle and an unconscious rider.
Medical personnel said they have identified the dead rider as Johnny Pankoke, 45, from Athol. Deputies are currently investigating the incident and, based on preliminary findings, believe no other cars were involved and that alcohol may be a contributing factor.
