DEER PARK, Wash. – Deer Park School District Superintendent Alexa Allman notified parents of a bomb threat received by Deer Park High School on Tuesday morning.

According to Allman, the person who made the threat was quickly identified.

“Although the person claimed the note was a joke, we take these threats seriously and we contacted law enforcement immediately,” Allman said.

No details about the person who made the threat were shared with parents other than the current legal status of the incident.

“The individual is now in custody and being charged with making a bomb threat, which is a felony,” Allman said.

This is a developing story. More information will appear as available.
