SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. – Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an argument call on Monday at a location west of Deer Park, leading to a lengthy standoff with an allegedly armed suspect.
The suspect was reportedly and had a two-handed axe. He had purportedly hit a neighbor’s door with an axe.
The situation escalated into a SWAT standoff when the suspect was allegedly uncommunicative with law enforcement.
After several hours, he was taken into custody by deputies, and his axe was recovered. He received medical attention before being booked into the Spokane County Jail on a U.S. Marshal Hold.
