COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Idaho State Police are currently investigating a deadly semi crash near the Idaho-Washington State Line.
A 37-year-old man from Deer Park died after his semi-truck left the road and overturned into a ditch on State Highway 58.
The incident happened Monday afternoon. According to law enforcement, the man was driving west when he veered off the roadway. First responders transported him to the hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The crash resulted in the closure of the road for more than five hours as emergency responders collected evidence from the scene.
Authorities confirmed the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
