SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Police Department(SPD) is investigating a shooting that left one dead, the incident occurred in the northeast area of Spokane.
Spokane police responded to a report of a shooting that occurred just after midnight in the area of Cleveland and Thor.
The victim had sustained gunshot wounds. The first responding officers quickly began life-saving medical aid in an attempt to save the victim’s life.
Police continued medical aid until Spokane Fire and American Medical Response arrived. Despite continued emergency care, the victim succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
Officers locked down the area, and the SPD Major Crimes Unit detectives responded and are investigating the crime.
Spokane police said the name of the deceased will be released at a later time by the Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
There is also no information on the suspect yet.
