Disney Plus cracks down on password sharing, introduces paid sharing plans

Disney Plus has begun implementing a new paid sharing program, curbing password and account sharing. The program rolled out this week across many regions, including the United States.

Disney Plus basic account holders now have the option to add an extra user for $6.99 per month. For premium account holders, the cost is $9.99 per month.

However, only one extra member per account is allowed. It’s important to note that this option is not available as part of the Disney bundle.

Disney will monitor account sharing through activity, linked devices, and internet connections. If an account is accessed outside the household, users may need to enter a one-time password to verify the new location.
