A pet sitter created a “Home Alone” parody with a dog starring in the role of Kevin McCallister.
Rachel, 34, was pet-sitting bulldog mix Piggie, nine, for a week while his foster parents visited family.
During this week, the pair bonded and Rachel, remembering that “Home Alone” is Piggie’s foster dad’s favorite Christmas film, decided to embark on a project.
Within a day, Rachel and Piggie filmed a parody of the film with Piggie starring in Macaulay Culkin’s iconic role of Kevin McCallister.
The video includes famous scenes from the movie like Piggie protecting the house from the burglars, played by Rachel, by setting off a bowl full of fireworks.
Rachel, a pet sitter from Sacramento, California, said: “I knew Home Alone was Marc’s favorite Christmas movie and Piggie had such charisma to be a natural talent!
“I had about a week sitting him during the holidays and figured Marc and Andrea would get a kick out of it and Piggie and I could have some fun as well.
“The whole process took a day.
“Piggie and I would film some stuff then hang out and then get back to it.”
Piggie was a senior dog when he was rescued and fostered by Andrea and Marc, but he unfortunately passed just months after this.
Andrea, from Sacramento, California, said: “He was a senior when he was rescued, and passed of age-related health issues.
“He was always on borrowed time, so we made sure to pamper him with the limited time we knew we had.
“Seeing the video gave me instant peace of mind knowing that Rachel was choosing to spend so much time in our home with him.”
