Donate used gift cards to help kids with special needs get a bedroom makeover!

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – Have you ever gotten a gift card as a present and spent most of it, holding onto it for “next time” and left it languishing in your wallet with mere dollars or cents left on it?

If this sounds all-too familiar, there’s a perfect opportunity to put them towards a good cause!

Special Deeds for Special Needs is accepting donations of new or used gift cards with money left on them and using them to provide bedroom makeovers for kids with special needs. If you’re fresh out of gift cards but still want to pitch in, cash donations are always accepted.

“We just wrapped up collaborating with the Wishing Star Foundation again doing a double room bedroom makeover for twin boys this last week. It was a fun challenge to do two rooms at once but they turned out amazing,” said CEO and found of SDSN, Cory Thomas. “We cant wait to start on the next one!”

The group is setting up a booth in front of Uncle Sam’s Flag and Gift across the street from Safeway near Evergreen and Sprague in Spokane Valley. You can head there to donate on Nov. 2-3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

SDSN is partnering with Franz, Odom beverages, and McDonald’s so that anyone who donates also gets free old-fashioned donuts, or a free breakfast sandwich or happy meal from McDonalds!

There will also be live radio broadcasting from with TC on 93.7 The Mountain.
