Dr. Cullen will see you now: UW School of Medicine fundraises with Twilight screening

SPOKANE, Wash. – The University of Washington School of Medicine Student Association is fundraising Tuesday in the most Pacific Northwest way possible: a screening of the 2008 film Twilight.

UW will co-host the screening at the Garland Theater at 6 p.m. Tuesday, offering viewers the opportunity to express their support for medical education and the popular vampire franchise at the same time.

Fundraiser proceeds will help fund student association events and activities.

UW School of Medicine operates a Spokane campus with Gonzaga University that allows students to complete their first two years of medical education in Spokane.

The health partnership is aimed at addressing the shortage of primary care physicians in Washington, particularly rural areas like Forks.
